Northern Michigan man dies after crashing van, landing in Manistee River
WEXFORD COUNTY, MI -- A 58-year-old Interlochen man died Tuesday following a crash that took place around 3:30 p.m. in Springville Township. Owego man faces multiple charges after drug investigation
OWEGO, NY (CortacaToday) – A Tioga County man awaits his day in court. Shawn Terry, 50, was arrested by Owego Police last week after a drug investigation on East Main Street. Terry is charged with two counts of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, and a single felony count of criminal possession of a weapon. Terry additionally faces two misdemeanors of criminal use of drug paraphernalia for scales and packaging. He will appear in court at a later date.

Accused black bear killer charged in Williamsport
Williamsport, Pa. — A man feeding wildlife attracted a family of black bears to his property that he ultimately shot and killed, police say. Shawn Paul Zimmerman of Williamsport told officers with the Pennsylvania Game Commission “they are gone” after allegedly shooting the mother and two cubs, Officer Helen Karp said. Officers had been at Zimmerman's home the previous day after he reported shooting a black bear five times after it came onto his property, Karp added. ...
Homeless trespasser arrested in Williamsport
Williamsport, Pa. — Guards at Lycoming Wirerope Works called Williamsport Police to help deal with a drunken person trespassing in late June. Joseph Raymond John Cieczko of Williamsport was told to leave the building at 100 Maynard Street, according to the complaint. The 29-year-old Cieczko walked back to the entrance and became confrontational with the guards, police said. Cieczko allegedly attempted to start a physical fight. The guard backed away from Cieczko and called Williamsport Police, Officer Tyler Corter said. According to responding police, Cieczko smelled of alcohol and could not put together complete sentences. Cieczko is being charged with defiant trespassing and public drunkenness. Cieczko, who is listed as homeless on the affidavit, posted $2,500 unsecured bail and was released from custody. Docket sheet
