I'm a rabid history buff, so an announcement from the Town of Frisco caught my eye this morning. Its free lecture series starts tomorrow, June 19.
The Frisco Historic Park & Museum Free Summer Lecture Series will continue through the summer on Wednesdays until Aug. 21, 2024 at 12 pm (July 17's lecture is at 1 pm). The lectures will be at a variety of locations around Frisco.
"Learn about the rich history of Frisco and surrounding areas in Colorado with a Q&A after each lecture," notes the announcement. "Lectures are free to attend and will present topics like Colorado’s mining history, Native American music and history, burro pack racing, National Repertory Orchestra, and more as they relate to Frisco and the surrounding area."
If you look at the list of lectures below, you'll notice that the lecturers aren't slouches. These people are passionate about their areas of expertise. Any program put on by History Colorado will be excellent, as will the Bob Calder lecture June 26.
