Academy of Country Music Awards and host Reba McEntire set for 2025 show in Frisco

The Academy of Country Music Awards is returning to North Texas for a third consecutive year.

On May 8, 2025, the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco will host the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards. Country icon Reba McEntire is returning to host the show, which will mark her 18th at the helm.

This is the third year in a row that Frisco has hosted the ACM Awards and the second with McEntire hosting. Previously, Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks hosted the 2023 show.

Ticket sale details, award submissions, nominees and performers will all be announced at a later date. The 2025 show will stream exclusively on Prime Video.

The stars were big and bright in Frisco for the 59th ACM Awards just a few months ago.

Lainey Wilson took home both “Entertainer of the Year” and “Female Artist of the Year,” while Chris Stapleton picked up “Male Artist of the Year.” Stapleton also won “Album of the Year” for “Higher,” followed by Luke Combs securing “Single of the Year” for his cover of “Fast Car.”

This year’s show saw performances from Wilson, Stapleton, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum and more. Rapper Post Malone also made his country music debut at the event.

Next year’s show is primed to be even bigger to celebrate its 60th iteration.

“We’re excited to honor and celebrate the legacy of the ACM Awards all year long surrounding the 60th anniversary show returning to Amazon Prime Video next May,” ACM CEO Damon Whiteside said. “We look forward to seeing our industry, artists, and fans celebrate in Frisco, Texas next May for an unforgettable week.”

The 60th Academy of Country Music Awards is set for May 8, 2025.
