FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football took a shortened practice inside Friday morning, one day after its second scrimmage of fall camp.

The Razorbacks have just 10 practices remaining prior to the season opener on Aug. 29 against UAPB in Little Rock (6:30 p.m., ESPNU).

Here are three takeaways from the 15-minute portion of practice that was open to the media:

QB Taylen Green looks sharp in Arkansas football team drills

Arkansas quarterbacks combined to throw eight interceptions at Thursday's scrimmage, but Green bounced back with a strong performance at Friday's practice.

During the team's fastball period, Green completed all three of his pass attempts and made a pair of tight throws to Andrew Armstrong. He threaded a pass between Jaylon Braxton and Doneiko Slaughter to hit Armstrong on a slant pattern that would have resulted in a first down to close the period.

Green is continuing to show good chemistry with Armstrong and Isaiah Sategna, and Tyrone Broden is looking healthier with each passing day after dealing with turf toe this fall.

A new position for Larry Worth

The Jacksonville State transfer played linebacker for the Gamecocks and has worked primarily as the slot cornerback with Arkansas, but he ran as the second-string safety during Thursday's fastball drill.

Arkansas coaches love Worth's combination of length and athleticism, believing his 6-foot-4 frame can disrupt passing lanes on the inside. His positional versatility is equally impressive, and something Arkansas clearly targeted in the transfer portal through Worth and Anthony Switzer Jr.

    Ja'Quinden Jackson not involved

Jackson did not participate in Thursday's practice, instead walking around the artificial field inside Arkansas indoor facility with a trainer.

Jackson dealt with a mild ankle sprain earlier in camp, but Pittman said the Utah transfer played in Thursday's scrimmage. He battled injuries last year with the Utes and is one of the most important players for Arkansas this fall. It wouldn't be a surprise if this was just a rest day after the scrimmage.

Offensive linemen Patrick Kutas and Ty'Kieast Crawford were not spotted at practice. Kutas has missed the last 13 days of fall camp, while Crawford sustained a shoulder injury in Thursday's scrimmage.
