Man who was suspect in Amber Alert sentenced to prison
WAUSEON — An Ohio man who was the subject of an Amber Alert was recently sentenced in Fulton County Common Pleas Court. Lamar Miles, 35, of Willowick previously pleaded guilty to one count of attempted kidnapping, a second-degree felony, amended from kidnapping, a first-degree felony; endangering children, a third-degree felony; failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; and operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them, a first-degree misdemeanor. Included in three of the counts were forfeiture orders for a 2023 Kia Sportage and an iPhone Max.
Swanton man sentenced on pandering charges
WAUSEON — A Swanton man was recently sentenced on two pandering charges in Fulton County Common Pleas Court. John D. Tibbets, 67 pleaded guilty to one count of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor impaired person and one count of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person, both fourth-degree felonies.

1 killed, 3 injured in Fulton County crash
LYONS, Ohio — An Adrian man was killed and three other people injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Fulton County. According to the Toledo post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Richard Kinnick, 74, was driving south on State Rt. 109 when he failed to stop for the stop sign at U.S. 20 and was struck by a westbound vehicle that was being driven by John Garrow, 68, of Waldron, Mich. Mr. Kinnick was not wearing his seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Kinnick’s passenger, Laura Berger, 71, of Sarasota, Fla., was transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital with serious injuries. Ms. Berger was wearing her seat belt. Mr. Garrow and his passenger, Laura Garrow, 66, also of Waldron, Mich., suffered minor injuries. They were both transported to the Fulton County Health Center for treatment.
