Local Cancer Group Will Get Double Donations Next Week Thanks to Fundraising Challenge

FURLONG, PA—A local organization that cares for cancer patients, their families and oncology workers in Bucks County is holding a special fund-raising challenge beginning on Monday.

Kin Wellness and Support Center is the recipient of a fundraising challenge issued by the Gene and Marlene Epstein Humanitarian Fund. From July 8 through July 15, the fund will match every dollar raised by Kin up to $5,000.

In a statement, Gene Epstein said, "I feel that if you can do something to make another person’s life a little better because of your help, whether it is financial or physical, then both people feel better – the donor and the recipient. It’s a win-win situation and the more that you do it, the better you feel."

Kin provides free integrative services, therapy, support and fitness to cancer patients, caregivers and oncology health care workers across Bucks County. Kin is now caring for 450 Bucks County cancer patients and their caregivers.

Because Kin is funded entirely by donations, it welcomes the opportunity to match $5,000 in donations in a single week.
