Members of First United Methodist Church will again be sharing their talents with the community through Gift to Gadsden.

The annual set of workshops and introductory classes — basically free, although some participants must either provide or purchase supplies — is scheduled for July 22-25. Pre-registration is required and is open now, as class sizes are limited.

Classes offered this year include cake decorating; casual cooking; crafts (for children); floral arranging; positive parenting; making money by recycling; calligraphy for beginners; coping with grief; getting into film, TV or modeling; Medicare and you; olive oil benefits; Southern herbal remedies; wills, power of attorneys and medical directives; yoga for beginners; buying your first home; assertiveness training; mahjong; roleplaying games; crochet for beginners; knitting for beginners; redesigning jewelry; and beginning pickleball.

A nursery will be provided by request (only with pre-registration).
