Fan Vote: Who should be the Gadsden Times preseason No. 1 high school football team?

It's that time of year again, football season is coming.

With practice for Alabama high school football starting next week for some teams, the debate on who should be the preseason No. 1 one team will ramp up. The Gadsden Times is giving fans a chance to select who they think should be the number one team as the season gets started.

There are plenty of options throughout the Gadsden area — headlined by defending state champions Fyffe or could it be Coosa Christian or Cherokee County, which lost a key player, after both made it to the state finals. Other semifinal teams include Geraldine, Guntersville and Pisgah.

Looking to Class 6A any of the Gadsden area teams could be strong choices with Gadsden City, Southside and Fort Payne looking strong ahead of the season. Anywhere you look there are strong options all across the Gadsden area.

Voting will last through Monday, August 5 at noon, voters should be able to vote once a day.
