CHEROKEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — A Tuesday search of a woman’s home and car led law enforcement to 24.6 pounds of methamphetamine.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, the search began around 2:48 p.m., at a home on West Buford Street in Gaffney.

Narcotics officers found 12 pounds of meth in the home, as well as 12.6 pounds of the drug in the trunk of the suspect’s vehicle.

Quiana Artenes Barnes, 29, was arrested for allegedly trafficking more than 400 grams of methamphetamine. Barnes was taken to Cherokee County Detention Center.

Officials with the county’s narcotics division, the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and SLED agents helped in the investigation.
