Patchy fog to develop overnight
Areas of patchy fog is developing in parts of our viewing area. Visibility has been dropped to a 1/4 of a mile in parts of Tioga, Pa. We will continue to see more reduced visibility overnight as the ground is moisture-loaded from the heavy rains. The foggy conditions will lift in the morning and give way to a partly sunny day.

Coudersport, Pa. — Sharon R. Albney, 66, of Coudersport, Pa., formerly of Port Allegany, died Friday, July 19, 2024 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport. Born March 31, 1958 in Coudersport, she was the daughter of Frank V. and Dorothy M. Wright Albney. Sharon worked on the family farm growing up. A graduate of Port Allegany High School, she was employed by W.R. Case & Sons Company in Bradford in her younger years.
Win-win: OSI team gains job skills while helping at Antrim Township parks
Four young men with rakes, paintbrushes and other tools have been a familiar site at Antrim Township parks this summer. Often seen by Antrim Township Community Park visitors as “the youth in the golf cart,” members of the team from Occupational Services Inc. are gaining work and social skills while sprucing up the facilities.
EMMF Orchestra presents Schubert overture, Rutters' Requiem Friday
The Endless Mountain Music Festival is continuing with Orchestra performances this Friday and Saturday. July 26 and 27 and Chamber Concerts July 28 through Aug. 1. At 7 p.m. this Friday, July 26 in Steadman Theatre at Commonwealth University in Mansfield, the Festival Orchestra under the baton of Teresa Cheung will play “Overture in D Major,” written in “youthful zest” by Franz Schubert in 1817 when he was 20; “Concerto for Harpsichord and Orchestra in D Minor” composed in 1735 by Johann Sebastian Bach and arranged by Jason Mathena for this concert for two marimbas and orchestra and featuring percussionists Mathena and David Wert on the marimbas; and Jean Baptiste Arban’s “Variations on a Theme from Bellini’s Norma” with Brian Strawley on trumpet doing fast runs and double-tonguing.
Clarkes celebrate 50 years of marriage
Cheryl Rizzo Clarke and Maison C. “Russ” Clarke II were united in matrimony July 27, 1974, at the Clarke family farm in Richmond Township, Tioga County. After reciting their vows at the family’s pond in the presence of family and friends, they were pronounced husband and wife by then Justice of the Peace Eleanor Trask.

MU announces 2024 football recruiting class
The Mansfield Mountaineer sprint football program and seventh-year head coach John Evans introduces their 28 members to the team for the 2024 season. Branching across seven positions, the coaching staff landed athletes from Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The Mounties landed 16 offensive athletes and 12 defensive players.

Over the years, Emilee has exhibited rabbits for nine years, horses for 12 years, goats for three years and this year is trying a market lamb for the first time.
