    Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Highs will be around 92 for the next few days, about two degrees above normal for this time of year. Light rain is possible on Tuesday afternoon.

Hurricane Beryl is now a strong Category 4, and hurricane warnings have been issued for Jamaica. There is a 25%-33% chance that the storm will curve up into the Gulf of Mexico and impact Texas or Louisiana (see the spaghetti models below), but the models currently do not show any impact to our area. A second system is behind Beryl, but conditions are not as favorable for it to develop into a named storm.
