    GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Highs will be around 93 on Wednesday and Independence Day, with a chance of rain in the afternoon and evening of both days. Hurricane Beryl reached Category 5 and then weakened to Category 4; it is expected to impact Jamaica on Wednesday and the Cayman Islands on Wednesday night and Thursday. Beryl is most likely to make landfall in Mexico, but about 20% of the models have an impact in Texas or Louisiana (see the spaghetti models below). 96L, which is behind Beryl in the Atlantic Ocean, is encountering unfavorable conditions for development and only has a 20% chance of developing into a named storm in the next week.
