When it comes to Florida football, there's no shortage of rivalries inside and outside the SEC.

The Florida Gators play Georgia annually in Jacksonville in a border skirmish that was dominated by UF from 1990-2010 before turning the way of the Bulldogs the last decade.

Florida and Tennessee engaged in heated contests in the 1990s, when Steve Spurrier called the plays for the Gators and Phil Fulmer patrolled the sidelines for the Vols. The winner had the inside track to both the SEC and national championship, which UF won in 1996 and UT won in 1998. Of late, Florida has dominated the series with Tennessee, winning 17 of the last 19 meetings between the two schools, including a 29-16 upset of the Vols last season at The Swamp.

Then, there's the yearly battle for state bragging rights at the end of the season between Florida and Florida State. Florida leads the all-time series, 37–28 (two ties), though FSU has won the last two meetings, including a 24-15 win in The Swamp.

Some Florida fans may even consider LSU a rival, considering the Tigers were UF's annual cross-division opponents from 1992 until divisions were disbanded in 2023. Florida will host LSU in 2024 and play at LSU in 2025. But the future of the rivalry remains in doubt. Florida leads the all-time series 33-31, though LSU has won five straight in the rivalry, including a 52-35 win in Death Valley last season.
