    Montgomery County Police searching for missing 6-year-old with non-verbal autism

    GAITHERSBURG, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Montgomery County Department of Police said officials were searching for a missing 6-year-old Gaithersburg boy who has non-verbal autism Saturday night.

    According to the department , Fawzan Hassan was last seen around 3 p.m. at Bohrer Park, located at 506 S. Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg.

    Police said Hassan is about three feet tall and weighs around 42 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and white and silver sneakers, according to police.

    At 8:16 p.m., a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said responders were actively searching for Hassan near the park ‘s ponds.

    Police said anyone with information regarding Hassan’s whereabouts should call the Montgomery County Police 24-hour non-emergency line at (301)-279-8000.
