A former Buckeye Central School District bus driver was sentenced on an additional charge in Crawford County Common Pleas Court earlier this week.

Chet A. Cobb, 46, formerly a resident of Galion, is incarcerated to serve a five-year sentence after being convicted of three counts of pandering sexually-oriented materials involving a minor in 2023.

In a plea agreement with prosecutors, Cobb pleaded guilty to an additional charge of pandering sexually-oriented materials involving a minor, a second-degree felony, on Monday. Two other charges were dismissed.

Cobb was sentenced to a minimum of eight years in prison and a maximum of 12 years in prison. The sentence is to be served concurrently to the sentence he is serving for a total of five to 12 years in prison.

Cobb also was ordered to pay court costs and he must register as a Tier II sex offender when he was released from prison.

He was represented by local attorney Edwin Bibler.

Chet Cobb’s father, Mark Cobb, was convicted of two counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, both fourth-degree felonies, in December. He is serving a 30-month prison sentence.

Chandler Cobb, 22, also of Galion and the son of Chet Cobb and grandson of Mark Cobb, is facing two counts of rape, both first-degree felonies and is being held on a $1 million bond.
