Jewish Federation hosts event to denounce recent displays of anti-semitism in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Jewish Federation of Greater Nashville held an event to denounce the recent anti-Jewish demonstrations in the Nashville area. The event was held at Bicentennial Park on Sunday and was in response to a rash of neo-Nazi marches and demonstrations, which included an attempted takeover at a Metro Council Meeting, and a fight just off Broadway that resulted in charges.

The Southeast Produce Council held its annual summer board meeting July 15–17 in Nashville, TN, where Southern Innovations will be taking place in less than two months. During the meeting, SEPC’s board of directors, board of governors, board ambassadors and staff discussed strategic anchors and goals of the council. Man hit by car in Madison dies
MADISON, Tenn. -- A 48-year-old Nashville man is killed while crossing the road in the Madison area. The pedestrian, who has not been identified at this time, died after being hit by a car shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday night while crossing Gallatin Pike South at Walton Lane, said Metro Nashville police, who are working to notify next of kin.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A local attorney has been publicly censured by the Tennessee Supreme Court for practicing law after her license was suspended. On Jan. 21, 2020, Colleen Ann Hyder’s license to practice law was suspended after failing to pay her 2019 professional privilege tax. On July 19, the court released a statement publicly censuring her for knowingly practicing law after her license had been suspended, according to a news release.
