Lafayette Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying iPad Theft Suspect
The Lafayette Crime Stoppers and the Lafayette Police Department are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in a theft at a local Best Buy. On July 5, at approximately 2:00 PM, an unidentified Asian male entered the Best Buy store located at 5627 Ambassador Caffery Parkway. The suspect proceeded to remove an iPad 13 Pro, valued at $1,300, from one of the displays. The individual managed to cut the security cable securing the device before exiting the premises.

Earlier this year James Colvin, who co-owns Beausoleil Books in downtown Lafayette with his husband, Bryan Dupree, simply shared their issue at hand with others in a Facebook group: a job was going to pull them away from Lafayette and something needed to be done about their bookstore.
