Ravens, Saints Could Target Bengals Cut Candidate
Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Jackson Carman is reportedly on the verge of being cut. A second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Clemson product began his career as a guard. Appearing in all 17 games as a rookie while making six starts, Carman finished his inaugural season with an underwhelming 56.3 PFF grade. Carman then lost his starting job and spent the past two seasons serving as a do-everything backup. Despite playing guard as a rookie, Carman spent the past two seasons filling in at offensive tackle.
Nell Nolan: NOCCA Art & Soul; JPAS Leading Ladies; Mad Hatter's Opera
As in anniversary! In 1974, New Orleans Center for Creative Arts first opened its doors to young artists, and to hail that half century, the NOCCA Foundation’s annual fundraiser, ART&SOUL, was bannered “1974.” The Mereaux Foundation was the Title Sponsor with, appropriately, 50 additional sponsoring names. Glittery, earthy-toned archways by FunkShui Balloon Collective set the retro vibe, and glittery gold-toned linens turned Solomon Family Hall into Studio 54. For a French fillip, the Merry Antoinettes put everybody in a celebratory mood.

In the iconic movie "Field of Dreams," Kevin Costner hears a voice from an unseen speaker that urges: "If you build it, he will come." The gist was that if Costner built a baseball diamond in his farm's fields, players would emerge. Sam Presad, captain of the Lafayette Cricket Club, and his teammates are in the process of building their own grounds for future generations of area cricket players.
This New Orleans nonprofit uses 3D printing to help people and kids with disabilities
A few weeks ago, Noam Platt and Philip Dunham set up shop at Camp Dream Street, an overnight camp in Mississippi for children with disabilities. When one camper who uses a wheelchair said he had trouble drawing with a clipboard when he wasn’t near a table, Platt and Dunham worked with him to tailor a design that would fit his needs. Overnight they 3D-printed a contoured lap desk fitted to his legs, customized with his name and a Godzilla head sticking out.
Chris Ivory's 56-yard touchdown run is the Saints Play of the Day
Chris Ivory’s 56-yard touchdown run against the Atlanta Falcons back in 2012 is the New Orleans Saints Play of the Day, which you can watch here. The former Saints running back only appeared in 24 games with New Orleans before continuing his career with the New York Jets (46 games), Jacksonville Jaguars (25), and Buffalo Bills (13), but he certainly made an impact on the black and gold.
