Tuscaloosa Leaders Arrive in Mobile for Annual Benchmarking Trip
Leaders from west Alabama traveled south this weekend and are in Mobile for an annual trip designed to bring good ideas from other cities back to the Tuscaloosa area. The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama has taken these Benchmarking trips since 2017 and have learned from leaders in Greenville, Lexington, Chattanooga, Asheville and Raleigh.

Unless you are living under a rock one of the biggest events of the past week for college football fans was the much-anticipated return of the EA Sports College Football game. The first thing I had to do was play with Alabama in an exhibition game against LSU, just to see how the Crimson Tide looked in the new game. If the real Alabama Crimson Tide looks anywhere as good as the team in the game Tuscaloosa is going to be a very happy town in the Fall. Twilight 5K Results: Porter, Gosline Grab Big Wins
Mark Porter and Grace Gosline claimed top honors in the 16th annual Twilight 5K Saturday evening on the University of Alabama-Huntsville campus. Porter, of Colorado Springs, Col., won the race in 17:15 with a pace of 5:34 per mile. Athan O’Neill of Huntsville was second in 17:42, and Jude Seibert of Ardmore was just steps behind in third in 17:46.
