ALDOT announces grants for municipal airports
The Alabama Department of Transportation today announced it has awarded over $22,000 in state funding to three municipal airports for improvements. The Ozark Municipal Airport in Ozark will receive $144,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration and $8,000 from a state grant for the construction of a corporate hangar. The airport will provide $8,000 in matching local funds for a total value project of $160,000.

Two Lowndes County teens charged in Montgomery slaying
Two Lowndes County teenagers have been charged with capital murder in connection with a Thursday shooting in Montgomery. The two 16-year-olds are charged in the death of 21-year-old Hector Bamaca Yoc of Montgomery, said Sgt. Ernestina McGriff, a spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department. MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - A Montgomery man was charged with a felony after leading police on a chase Saturday afternoon on an ATV.
