Pool play games in Connie Mack World Series begin Friday
FARMINGTON – The Frackers will open pool play in the Connie Mack World Series on Friday, July 26 at 5:30 p.m. at Worley Field against a team still to be determined. The pool play brackets were announced and released this week by the American Amateur Baseball Congress. The Frackers, the host team for the CMWS, were entered into Pool B, along with the Dallas-based D-Bat United. All 12 teams will play three games over the course of Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27 with games at Worley Field, the Farmington Sports Complex and at Ricketts Park.

Sheriff: Armed Mancos man shot dead after refusing deputies’ commands

Taylor-Mesilla site welcomes new conservator
New Mexico Historic Sites announced the arrival of Yasmine Jahangiri as the new museum technician and conservator of the Taylor-Mesilla and Fort Selden historic sites. Yahangiri is responsible for the collections at both sites, including recordkeeping and documentation for all of their items. She will also assist with interpretive programs and developing exhibitions, the agency stated in a news release.
