New Mexico receives $72 million to replace Nogal Canyon Bridges
The New Mexico Congressional delegation announced significant funding toward the replacement of the Nogal Canyon Bridge along a section of Interstate 25 in Socorro County. U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.), and U.S. Representative Gabe Vasquez (D-N.M.) announced over $71 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation to replace the Nogal Canyon Bridge. The funding is part of $5 billion in federal grants announced Wednesday by President Joe Biden's administration, the latest beneficiaries of a massive infrastructure law. The Bridge Investment Program invests $40 billion over five years.
