Days Gone studio's new game is live service, we're afraid
We’re not sure this is a good idea. But what do we know? Apparently, nothing, as far as Bend Studio is concerned. The developers haven’t said that to us specifically, just to clarify, however, they are going against the grain by venturing into live service territory. From the looks of things, this move is to fall in-step with Sony’s continued push into live service gaming, much to the dismay of gamers.
Max Payne remake teaser is music to our ears
The first two Max Payne games are getting remade, and will be of the same quality as Alan Wake 2. Developer Remedy is still riding the high of success from Alan Wake 2, which was not only considered an fantastic sequel by fans and critics, but also worthy of several gaming awards.
PlayStation gamers urged to avoid free download and claim free store credit instead
PlayStation gamers are urging one another to hold off on jumping at a new free download and instead wait it out so they can claim a little extra store credit. As I'm sure you know already, PlayStation has a loyalty scheme called PlayStation Stars which allows you to earn digital collectibles and points, which can be traded in for store credit.
Stardew Valley meets Animal Crossing in new free game you can grab today
If you’re a fan of cosy life-simulator games you won’t want to miss the Steam game that launches later today. The game we’re talking about is called Palia, a Steam game that’ll release in about six hours at the time of writing. Take a look at...
Spyro The Dragon 4 may be in development for Xbox right now
It’s been far too long since our favourite purple dragon, that is to say Spyro, hopped onto our consoles with a new instalment. In fact, I’d go as far as saying that we’re going to have to start putting up ‘missing’ posters if this franchise isn’t revived as soon as possible.
Cyberpunk 2077 sequel teases us with incredible 'cinematic' next-gen visuals
There are certain games we’ll be waiting for with bated breath; one of which being the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel. After clawing it back in a spectacular way, the original CD Projekt Red game has become beloved. As such, any news about its sequel is eagerly awaited by fans. So...
GTA 5 gets new free heist that's a hit with fans
Missing the drama of heists from GTA V? Lucky for you, a dedicated fan has come to your aid, offering a new free heist that’s going down a storm with plays thus far. We could keep watching the GTA VI trailer for the hundredth time, analysing every tiny detail, but why upset ourselves further knowing this game is still over a year away. In fact, it’s likely to be even longer than that now the release date has been pushed out of 2025.
Assassin's Creed Hexe unlike anything we've seen from AC before
While it’s yet to be confirmed by Ubisoft, it’s looking increasingly likely that Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is set to land later this year. The highly anticipated upcoming title will take players to Feudal Japan and will feature two dual protagonists. One is believed to be a...
Hogwarts Legacy alternate ending gives fans what they always wanted
Hogwarts Legacy players are so desperate for a better ending that they’re writing their own, and they’re so much better. Hogwarts Legacy is still a very popular game, no doubt helped by its availability on just about every console/platform, from PC to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Sega Dreamcast etc…
Final Fantasy 9 remake teased by Square Enix
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is quite simply spectacular. That’s a statement that I’m sure we can all agree on. GAMINGbible’s Dan awarded Final Fantasy VII Rebirth a perfect score of 10, writing, “As I rolled the credits, I realised this was exactly the game I’ve wanted to play since I was 17 years old, it’s playing one of my favourite games all over again, experiencing everything fresh - and loving it just as much as I did over two decades ago.”
GTA 3 gets beautiful Unreal Engine 5 remake you can check out now
Step aside, GTA VI, we’re momentarily interested in the stunning GTA III remake that’s doing the rounds. Created using Unreal Engine 5, this remake concept is everything we want from this timeless classic. GTA III doesn’t need a remake, considering how popular it still is to this day....
Hi-Fi Rush review: The game that made me buy an Xbox is a blast on PlayStation
Hi-Fi Rush is the game that convinced me to buy an Xbox Series X. I should be clear before I’m accused of being a PlayStation shill* that I had always intended to pick one up eventually. I was excited for Starfield, I love Fable, and as a games journalist I also kind of need to be across every platform.
PlayStation, Xbox gamers have last chance to claim free download, no subscriptions needed
Gamers on PlayStation and Xbox won’t want to miss out on this free download, as pretty soon it’ll be gone for good. If you’re a fan of multiplayer shooters you’ll want to pay attention even more, as the freebie we’re talking about is for The Finals.
Elden Ring player takes down Malenia with a level 1 character
Some actual beast of a player has managed to beat Melania in Elden Ring with a character still at level one. What’s even more impressive - though this is worthy of praise already - is that they did it while recovering from a broken arm. That’s like saying they can beat Melania with one hand tied behind their back.
Red Dead Redemption 2 player finds creepy new secret on seventh playthrough
It seems like Red Dead Redemption 2 just keeps on giving. The world is so vast and detailed that some players are finding little secrets years after the game came out. One player, who was on their seventh playthrough, recently found a little secret in the most out-of-the-way place. Rockstar...
Beloved Fallout game currently available to download and keep for free
Fallout fans are in for a treat – and we don’t mean simply because the new series is airing soon. However, while this treat is an additional extra, its availability is connected to the Amazon show. As anyone in the fandom will tell you, there isn’t long to...
Baldur's Gate 4 isn't happening, developer confirms
In the saddest news, it appears that Baldur’s Gate 4 won’t be happening. At least, it won’t be developed by Larian Studios who helmed the third installment of the franchise and managed to capture the hearts of millions last year. On top of this disappointing news we...
Steam's latest free game is an open-world zombie RPG starring Will Smith
Video games are becoming increasingly attractive to film and television stars, with plenty of familiar faces having popped up over the past couple of years. There’s Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077, Idris Elba in its Phantom Liberty expansion, David Harbour and Jodie Comer in the new Alone In The Dark, Norman Reedus in Death Stranding, Megan Fox in Mortal Kombat 1, Cameron Monaghan in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Lance Reddick in Horizon Forbidden West … I could go on.
Unreal Engine 5 horror is the most realistic looking game we've ever seen
Horror games are starting to use Unreal Engine 5 now, and while it’s cool to see it’s also absolutely horrifying. As someone who adores horror games but is bad at them (I tend to miss the jumpscares because I’m looking elsewhere) the idea that future releases will look more and more lifelike with Unreal Engine really excites me.
The Elder Scrolls 6 most optimistic release date is still ages away
Why, as gamers, do we enjoy torturing ourselves? We all know that the next The Elder Scrolls title is a long way off, yet here we are, collectively discussing its release with foolhardy optimism. Some fans are quite happy to wait for The Elder Scrolls VI and focus on next-gen...
