Developer The Farm 51 has announced the post-apocalyptic action RPG sequel Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone. The game will launch sometime in 2025 but specific platforms have yet to be announced. A trailer showing several weapons, locations, enemies, and more was also released. Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is a post-apocalyptic action RPG game, “mixing free exploration of a huge and extremely realistic open world, challenging combat, unique crafting, team and base management with non-linear storytelling.”

Microsoft is rumored to be developing several upcoming titles and one of the consoles some believe to be in development is an Xbox hybrid console similar to the Nintendo Switch. However, according to Windows Central’s JezCorden this turns out to be false. In the latest episode of the Xbox Two podcast, Corden stated that the console will be a standard home console but will have a handheld as an add on. “I’ll tell you now: there’s going to be a separate handheld and there’s going to be an Xbox Series X successor,” he said. “It’s going to be two different things. They’re not just going to try and go all in on handheld only; they’re going to do a more traditional console for the Series X people and then a handheld. […] I’m predicting a Series X successor, a handheld, and the end of the paywall for premium multiplayer games.”

During a recent episode of the Friends per Second podcast, it was revealed by Journalist Jason Schreier that Naughty Dog’s now cancelled The Last of Us online title was a lot bigger than previously thought. According to Schreier, the game was in development for around four years with “a team in the hundreds” before it was eventually shut down. Additionally, he revealed that the cancellation of the title “made some heads roll at Sony,” alluding to the fact that layoffs were made following it.

In a recent video interview, Geralt’s voice actor Doug Cockle made comments about the upcoming fourth installment in The Witcher franchise. According to Cockle, Geralt will be part of the upcoming game but won’t be the main focus. He also claimed that while Geralt is part of the game, he has yet to see a script for the game. “We know that Geralt will be part of the game, we just don’t know how much,” he said. “The game won’t focus on Geralt, so it’s not about him this time. We don’t know who it’s about, I’m excited to find out!” The upcoming Witcher title is currently in development at CD Projekt red, with over 400 staff currently working on it. The Witcher series have surpassed 75 million units. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.
