Warzone is now one of the pillars of Call of Duty, and we were surprised with the announcement of a Season 1 Resurgence map after hearing nothing for some time. Area 99 is where Nuketowns are made, and after playing it for a while, color us totally in for this one. Multiplayer in Call of Duty has been an interesting bag the last few years. With Treyarch out of the picture (mostly), we’ve seen Vanguard along with Modern Warfare II and III vie for your attention. While I’ve certainly been invested in each one, I wouldn’t blame anyone for critiquing the direction of any of those games. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 entering the arena this year, and after playing it at Call of Duty: NEXT, I think we might not only have a potential best multiplayer shooter of the year on our hands, but a contender for top dog in the franchise.

Everything starts with military camos, which are unlocked by completing headshot challenges. You get access to unique camos after you unlock all nine military weapons for a weapon. Unique camos have unlock criteria more tailored to the weapon’s play style.

Warzone is set to include every weapon from MW2, MW3, and Black Ops 6, and fans fear that the devs won’t be able to balance the massive pool of options properly. The weapon count for each previous title was 76 for MW2 and 57 for MW3, and we already know that there will be 12 brand-new weapons in Black Ops 6, along with an ensemble of familiar favorites. This means there will be at least 150 guns in the BO6 iteration of Warzone.
