Hursboro, Lowndesboro receive grants for recreation improvements
Hurtsboro and Lowndesboro were among other communities to receive a grant from the state to improve its recreation services. The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) allocated the funds from the Federal Highway Administration’s Recreational Trails Program. Two Lowndes County teens charged in Montgomery slaying
Two Lowndes County teenagers have been charged with capital murder in connection with a Thursday shooting in Montgomery. The two 16-year-olds are charged in the death of 21-year-old Hector Bamaca Yoc of Montgomery, said Sgt. Ernestina McGriff, a spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department.
