FaithCentre to Host Free Back-to-School Clothing Event

BELLEFONTE — The FaithCentre, a local nonprofit that offers a food bank, pet food pantry, thrift shop, emergency aid and more, will host a free back-to-school clothing event from Monday, July 29, through Saturday, Aug. 3 at its store, 110 W. Darrius Lennard Showers, 33, of the 3800 block of Blair Mill Road in Upper Moreland, was sentenced to 2 to 5 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to choking, beating, and stabbing a woman during an argument inside the Blair Mill Village East Apartments on October 23, 2023, the Pottstown Mercury reported.

Drexel Men's Lacrosse Coach Brian Voelker Announces Retirement
Longtime Drexel men’s lacrosse coach Brian Voelker has retired, the school announced Sunday. Dragons assistant Steve Boyle has been named the interim head coach. Voelker is the second-winningest head coach in Drexel history after going 114-98 in 15 seasons. He was previously the head coach at Penn for seven seasons. He also coached in the pros, guiding the Baltimore Bayhawks to a division title in Major League Lacrosse.
