Famed Buffalo Soldiers honored in Easton | PHOTOS
The Buffalo Soldiers whose graves were found at the playground and basketball courts at West Nesquehoning Park in Easton were honored there Saturday. The Buffalo Soldiers were Black troops who served in segregated units formed after the Civil War mostly for duty in the West. The ceremony had quasi-military ceremonies such as a rifle salute and showed renderings of what will happen to the park, as well as a monument to be placed at the Rose Garden in Bethlehem. Philadelphia Flyers prospect Alexei Kolosov has left the team to return to Russia, and the reasons why are quite shocking. Kolosov was drafted in the 3rd round, 78th overall by the Flyers in 2021. There was a legit amount of hype around him after he put up very respectable numbers in the KHL as an 18-year-old. Even this season he had solid numbers in the top Russian league before he came over to join the Flyers organization.
