A law firm in Garden City has added name partners, the firm announced Tuesday.

The newly formed Rosenberg Calica Birney Liebman & Ross now includes Joshua Liebman and Edward Ross as name partners.

The “inclusion of Joshua M. Liebman and Edward M. Ross as name partners is in recognition of their immense contributions and successful results they have achieved for their clients and the firm,” Robert Calica, senior partner at the firm, said in a news release about its new formation.

Ross has been in the firm since 1999, and Liebman has been at the firm since 2009.

Ross began his legal career with an international law firm and has worked closely with Calica for more than 20 years on “countless high-stakes and high-profile matters” across Long Island and the tri-state region, according to the news release.

His focus includes complex and commercial litigation, including trials and appeals. He represents and counsels both private and public companies, boards, municipal governments and officials, firms, professionals, business leaders, developers, public figures and high net-worth families and individuals. As part of his professional liability practice, Ross also represents and counsels other attorneys and law firms on legal, ethics and strategic matters.

Liebman is a seasoned litigator and transactional attorney whose father-in-law and mentor Ronald Rosenberg served as an original founding partner of Rosenberg Calica & Birney in 1999. Liebman “employs the same aggressive and creative problem-solving skills and facilities which he learned first-hand” from Rosenberg, according to the news release.

As a name partner, Liebman aims to help the firm “continue to deepen and strengthen” its “positive impacts” across the region in business, transportation, commerce and government.

Rosenberg, who lived in Old Westbury, died in November of 2023. He leaves a legacy that includes his accomplished law firm that offers a wealth of experience in all areas of commercial and civil litigation, including real estate, corporate, appellate and estate litigation, as well as transactions and leasing, corporate law, land use, and zoning matters. He was also a frequent contributor of commentary to Long Island Business News.
