CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina's first baseman Georgia Hood is currently competing in the 2024 Women's Softball World Cup Finals for the Australian national team. The tournament is taking place in Castions di Strada, Italy. Hood has played and started in all three group games for Australia, competing against Japan, Netherlands, and Puerto Rico. During her three games Hood has recorded a .500 batting average, with three hits, a double, and a .667 slugging percentage. Australia is set to play China tomorrow 5 a.m. ET in the placement round.
