Battle over Henry’s Lake Flats: Island Park residents protest proposed airport and hotel
ISLAND PARK — Two separate proposals for a private air park/airport and a hotel on the Henry’s Lake Flats are stirring deep controversy in the Island Park community. One hundred fifty residents and landowners in Island Park gathered Monday evening at the Fremont County EMS building on Library Road to protest the developments.

New mocktail bar brings active night life to downtown Rexburg
REXBURG – Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name … or at least the type of environment you enjoy hanging out in. The latter is the focus of a new mocktail bar at 32 College Avenue in Rexburg called Fizz Rizz. The non-alcoholic bar opened July 4 and offers daiquiris, pina coladas, margaritas, flavored sodas and more. It also has pool tables and arcade games. Fire breaks out near Horseshoe Bend, Highway 55 closed
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A wildfire has broken out near Horseshoe Bend. The Boise County Sheriff's Office has closed Highway 55 between Horseshoe Bend Hill and Avimor.
