Local Actors Needed for Short Film Being Shot in Montana
Shooting TV shows for Hollywood has been happening in Montana for a while now. If you haven't been aware of the success of Yellowstone, I am not sure where you have been hiding. The last season of Yellowstone is currently being filmed in Western Montana. They have been shooting this month in and around downtown Missoula. Missing 20-year-old Wyoming woman found safe
UPDATE: JUly 25 at 10:47 a.m. The 20-year-old missing Wyoming woman Liana Welde has been found safe and unharmed Wednesday night. According to a release form the Big Horn County, Wyoming Sheriff's Office, Welde police officers had contacted and identified Welde in the City of Billings at around 8 p.m.

Local author to discuss teaching compassion at Big Sky Community Library
On Saturday, July 27, local author Jacquelyn Rinaldi will host an event at the Big Sky Community Library geared toward parents, teachers, and anyone who cares for children. The discussion will focus on “understanding our own awareness of compassion and guiding young children through resolving issues and conflicts with compassion at the forefront,” Rinaldi wrote in an email to EBS. Rinaldi will discuss takeaways from her book, “Learning Compassion: Conflict Resolution through Education and Therapy,” published in 2022.
Montana State Bobcats looking to go '1-0 every day' as they enter into fall camp
SPOKANE, Wash. — It's time to welcome back football season in Bozeman with Montana State kicking off fall camp on Thursday. Over the weekend at the Big Sky Kickoff, Bobcats coach Brent Vigen, senior offensive lineman Marcus Wehr and senior defensive lineman Brody Grebe were in attendance to represent Montana State to talk about the season ahead.
Sweet Pea settles into Lindley next month
Art and community meet as the Sweet Pea Festival returns to the Bozeman area for its 2024 event, Friday to Sunday, August 2nd–4th in celebration of its 47th year. Sweet Pea is a three-day festival of the arts held the first weekend in August. The Festival kicks off late Friday afternoon in Lindley Park with a performance by Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. Saturday ramps up with a children’s run and parade that lead the community to the park where the festivities continue through Sunday evening. Weekend entertainment comes in many forms – music of all genres, performances by local theatre and dance troupes, workshops, family friendly entertainment and activities, a flower show, a beer and wine garden featuring Montana microbrews, and countless arts and crafts vendors to stroll through and purchase unique gifts for yourself, family and friends.

Colstrip power plant offline during heat wave
A large source of energy generation for Montana’s biggest utility has gone offline while much of the state experiences extreme heat. The coal-fired power plant in Colstrip went offline Tuesday afternoon. NorthWestern Energy spokesperson Jo Dee Black confirmed the shutdown but did not give details on the cause. Black told MTPR NorthWestern hopes to have the facility up and running in the next few days. This loss of Montana-based energy means the utility company will have to purchase energy from the open market to meet demands.
