Something for everyone at forty-fifth annual Lewis and Clark Festival
Cut Bank is gearing up to celebrate its forty-fifth annual Lewis and Clark Festival, featuring great food, friendly competition, and entertainment for the whole family. The festival will take place from Thursday, July 25 through Sunday, July 28, kicking off with the Guns and Hoses softball game on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the sports complex where law enforcement and firemen will battle it out on the field for bragging rights for a year.
Hawaii denies Missoula Zootown trip to Little League Senior Softball World Series
MISSOULA — Missoula Zootown manager Tim Gray read his players' names off as they were awarded second-place medals Tuesday night. The team had just suffered a 10-2 defeat at the hands of Hawaii in the Little League Senior Softball West Region final at the Dale Clawson Complex. That's the same team that eliminated Zootown in last year’s final.

After Billings topped the Albany Firebirds 46-41 Friday at the American Dream Entertainment/Retail Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the Outlaws’ plans called for the team to be back home in the Magic City to celebrate Saturday.

Grizzly killed after breaking into houses near Wyoming-Montana border
Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks staff euthanized a grizzly bear Thursday after it became conditioned to obtaining unsecured food and breaking into houses around Gardiner, Montana. Before the bear’s death, FWP grizzly bear specialists and game wardens patrolled Gardiner and nearby areas. On July 18, FWP received reports that the bear had broken into a home in Maiden Basin, north of Gardiner. Staff quickly responded and dispatched the bear while it was in the Yellowstone River, according to a July 19 press release. ...
