Morgan Schucker named to Chancellor’s List at UALR
Morgan Schucker, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, has been named to the Summer 2024 Chancellor’s List at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. UA Little Rock recognizes superior academic performance at the end of each semester. To be named to the UA Little Rock Chancellor’s List, a student must have completed at least nine credit hours with a 3.9 GPA or higher.

UA Little Rock’s Glazier Publishes Book on Role of Faith in Communities (VIDEO)
Situated firmly within the Bible Belt, Little Rock has many places for believers to assemble. While Christianity is the most common religion in the area, there are also synagogues, mosques, Buddhist and Hindu temples and more. With so many people of faith in the city, one professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock recently compiled more than 12 years of research into a book on how these places of worship help the community grow stronger and its members lead more enriched lives through outreach.
Waldron City Council Approves Resolution to Explore Funding Options for Recreational Improvements
Earlier this month, the Waldron City Council unanimously agreed to explore the grant funding opportunities for further recreational improvements. Among those, a splash pad. Resolution 2024-04 authorizes Mayor David Millard “to seek the grant funding necessary to improve the recreation facilities in the City of Waldron…in order to obtain the funds necessary to develop and improve the site for such a recreation area, it is necessary to obtain an Outdoor Recreation Matching Grant from the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism.”
