Sam Hafertepe Jr.’s first three wins of the season on the American Sprint Car Series National Tour came consecutively in June, and history repeated itself Saturday night. The five-time Series champion led every lap at 81 Speedway en route to his third-straight Feature win and sixth of the season.
Emma Kate McBride named NJCAA Academic All-American
Emma Kate McBride has been chosen as a National Junior College Athletic Association (NCJAA) Academic All-American. The 2023 Weston High School graduate, who now plays for South Arkansas Community College in Eldorado, AR, earned second team Academic All-American status after compiling a 3.90 grade point average during her freshman year.
FCRA approves trail funding, extends development time
The Fort Chaffee Redevelopment Authority Board of Trustees on Thursday (July 18) agreed to put $25,000 toward trails connecting Chaffee Crossing to Greenwood. The money would support an effort by Sebastian County to extend trails. Specifically, the $25,000 would support the Sebastian County Active Transportation Infrastructure Investment Program (ATIIP) grant....

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 20, 2024 – 10:16 am UPDATE: The ASU buildings have been cleared by officials. Normal operation in and around the campus can resume. Around 7:15am on Saturday, the ASU Alert System sent out two texts advising of a bomb threat on campus.
