Owners of Anthony David’s in Hoboken Opening New Speakeasy Space
A restaurant that has operated in Hoboken for over 26 years was recently given the green light to open a two-level speakeasy that looks to operate under the name Baby Girl. During a special meeting of Hoboken’s Planning Board on June 27, approvals were granted to overhaul a former tattoo parlor at 938 Washington Street. The space is directly connected to Anthony David’s, a popular restaurant run by Chef Anthony Pino at the corner of 10th and Bloomfield streets.

Another Manhattan Trader Joe’s Opens Today
Trader Joe’s opened its first Harlem outpost this morning at 123 West 125th Street. It’s the company’s 10th location in Manhattan alone — this one at 17,800 square feet in a mixed-use development building with affordable housing units and a museum dedicated to civil rights history, Pix11 reports. It will also feature murals of neighborhood icons like the Apollo Theater, according to real estate publication 6sqft. It’s located across the street from Whole Foods, which opened on the 125th Street corridor back in 2017.
