More sunshine and heat for Sunday, then cooler with rain next week
EAST TEXAS, Texas (KLTV/KTRE) - Good evening, East Texas! After a hot and mostly sunny Saturday, tonight you can expect mainly clear skies as temperatures drop into the 80s for the evening. Sunday will start off with temperatures in the 70s and 80s, warming into the 90s by around noon, and then afternoon temperatures will be in the upper 90s. Skies for Sunday will trend mostly sunny yet again, and though nearly all of East Texas will stay dry, there is a very low chance for a stay shower in the Toledo Bend and Jasper/Newton counties area. Next week continues to look like a near-normal week as far as temperatures are concerned, highs in the mid 90s and lows in the mid 70s. We’ll also have a chance for rain pretty much every day next week as well. It does appear most of us will likely avoid any more triple digit days for the foreseeable future. Have a great night.
