Clarksburg Legion bests Garrett in regular season finale
NUTTER FORT, W.Va. (WV News) — Aiden Eddy was excellent on the mound to pick up the win, allowing one earned run on four hits with five strikeouts in six innings, and added a hit and two RBIs as Clarksburg Post 13 closed out its senior American Legion regular season with a 8-3 win over Garrett County at Frank Loria Memorial Field on Friday.

'Sunbonnet Sue' quilt block joins county's Barn Quilt Trail
OAKLAND — Garrett County’s Barn Quilt Trail has a new addition this summer. The new design, “Sunbonnet Sue” was recently installed at the barn of Paul and Gina Yoder, which is across the road from Heidi’s Bakery & Café at 2244 Blue Ribbon Road, Oakland.
Second Annual Big Funky Blues Fest begins Saturday
MCHENRY — Garrett County’s second annual Big Funky Blues Festival will be held on Saturday, July 13, at the Garrett County Fairgrounds. If you order tickets in advance, the cost is $55 per person (ages 13+). This will include a full-day pass and the ability to see all eight bands as well as having access to the kids zone, game truck, face painting, balloons and magic, crafts and more. Kids aged 12 and under will be admitted for free. The gates will open at 10 a.m. and will run until 9 p.m.
