FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The Fort Wayne Police Department has solved a 12-year-old cold case homicide. The Fort Wayne Police Department’s Homicide and Cold Case Unit has cleared the 2012 murder of Robert Jackson Jr. Jackson was shot and killed on July 24, 2012, in the 3900 block of Wayne Trace. The investigation revealed that Emmanuel D. Freeman, also known as E Streets, was responsible for the crime; Freeman was killed in June 2016.

City to hold public meeting about North Clinton Street improvements
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne officials are inviting the residents to attend a public meeting about the North Clinton Street Improvements Project. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss a roadway that can “effectively accommodate future traffic volumes and operate at an acceptable level of service during the design year of 2048, and to increase connectivity of pedestrian facilities.” The meeting will answer questions about the project location and anticipated schedule.
Beloit Police investigating May shooting as homicide
BELOIT, Wis. (WMTV) - Beloit Police Department is now investigating a May 11 shooting as a homicide after the victim died over the weekend, officials reported on Tuesday. Officers responded early the morning of May 11 to the 1200 block of Dewey Avenue. Beloit PD said officers found a man with a gunshot wound, and he was taken to a local hospital.
