Man dead after lawnmower pins him to ground
JESUP, Iowa (KCRG) - A man died Thursday afternoon after a lawnmower rolled off of a trailer and pinned him to the ground. The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office says they got a report of an accident involving equipment, with a man pinned under a lawnmower. The call came in around 12:50 p.m. Emergency crews quickly responded to the 1,000 block of 160th Street north of Jesup.

International student Chintan Bhardwaj is still picking up the pieces after Tuesday’s rain collapsed the roof of his apartment at 30 Hickory Street E. in Waterloo. A Van Meter man did not go peacefully Monday when he was arrested on a Dallas County warrant by officers of the Van Meter Police Department.
