Mail delivery service may slow down, thanks to new U.S. Postal Service policy
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A proposed change to USPS delivery practices could lead to a slowdown in service. The plan, as first reported by the Washington Post, could save the post office up to $3 billion a year by letting mail destined for more far-away locations sit for an extra day at distribution hubs.
$283 Million High School Opens in New Jersey
PERTH AMBOY, N.J. – The new Perth Amboy High School, a $283.8 million project, officially opened this week. Montclair Mourns Loss of Beloved 250-Year-Old Olmsted Oak
A brief but intense storm on Monday felled an historic tree in Montclair’s Anderson Park that was estimated to be about 250 years old. The massive white oak, called the Olmsted Oak after the famous family of landscape architects who designed the park, provided a leafy refuge for wildlife and shade for numerous weddings, picnics, classes and musical performances over the decades.
