The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Missing Persons Unit remains strong in its search for teenager Alex Edwards, who has been reported missing from Lauderdale Lakes. BSO sent out its release last week and is still seeking the public's assistance in locating the 16-year-old.

According to BSO detectives, Edwards was last seen around 10 a.m. on Monday, July 15, near the 2700 block of Northwest 34th Terrace in Broward County. Edwards is described as weighing approximately 120 pounds, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black shirt and black sweatpants. An image of the teen was also included in the media release.

Authorities encourage anyone with information on Edwards's whereabouts to contact BSO Detective Chris Blankenship at 954-321-4268. Alternatively, tips can be reported to the BSO at 954-764-HELP (4357).

The community's attention and cooperation are important in ensuring Alex Edwards's safe return. The BSO continues to explore all situations and follow up on leads, hoping for a swift resolution to this case.
