    In the last 30 days, a total of 347 restaurants in Lee County underwent inspections. According to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, 269 of those restaurants passed the inspection on the first visit, while 78 did not pass initially.

    With a United States Census Bureau 2023 estimated population of 834,573 people living in Lee County, Florida, many residents dine out frequently. Additionally, visitors often come to see family and friends, increasing the number of people dining out.

    Therefore, staying updated with the latest restaurant inspection reports is essential for making informed dining choices.

    This article presents a list of the top 18 restaurants in Lee County with the highest inspection violations in the last 30 days.

    Notably, the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation highlighted several establishments with double-digit violations, including GinZa Japanese Sushi restaurant, which had committed 20 infractions.

    The highly-rated all-you-can-eat restaurant offering vegetarian options to the residents of Cleveland Ave in Fort Myers recorded 20 violations, including five high-priority infractions, during a state inspection on July 15.

    Meanwhile, other establishments on the list include Bonita Brunch in Bonita Springs, cited for 18 violations on July 26, and Azucar Restaurant & Bakery in Cape Coral, which had 17 violations during a review on July 19. Eight Ball Lounge and Sonic Drive-In in Fort Myers were also cited for 17 violations each.
