Recent inspections by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation have discovered several restaurants in Flagler County with multiple violations. With an estimated population of 131,439, according to the United States Census Bureau 2023 data, many residents and visitors rely on local eateries for dining out.

    Highlighted Restaurants With Most Violations

Thai By Thai in Palm Coast topped the list with 22 violations during a July 29 inspection, including four high-priority issues. A follow-up inspection the next day showed improvement, but another review is still needed, the inspector's note revealed.

Margarita Island Mexican Kitchen & Bar in Flagler Beach followed closely with 21 violations on July 8, six of which were high priority. The inspector noted, "live, small flying insects in kitchen, food preparation area, food storage area and/or bar area."

A callback inspection on July 11 showed the restaurant had addressed the issues.

Meanwhile, The Anchor in Flagler Beach was temporarily closed after an inspection on July 11 revealed 18 violations, four of which were high priority. The Flagler County restaurant reopened the next day after addressing the concerns.

Other establishments with double-digit violations included Johnny D's Beach Bar & Grill, Beach Front Grille, and Palm Coast Tijuana Flats.

While these inspection results may raise eyebrows, it's important to note that they represent a snapshot of conditions at the time of inspection. Restaurants often quickly address issues to meet health and safety standards.
