Floridians, have you ever had an early morning craving for a White Castle slider -- whether you're traveling from out of state or just making a local trip? Well, I have, and I must say, the few times I've eaten there didn't exactly make me want to plan my next visit.
The sliders—both chicken and originals—and combos were okay, but nothing truly impressed me. It's not that the food was terrible, it just didn't leave me craving more.
My Experience Was Far From Amazing
It's been a while, and although my own experience wasn't terrible, it wasn't particularly memorable either. Some folks even opt to purchase White Castle frozen burgers at Publix, but I wouldn't recommend those. Tried it, and let's just say it wasn't an ideal choice.
Yet, despite my lukewarm experience, White Castle seems to have a loyal fan base. The location at 11595 Daryl Carter Parkway in the new Village at O-Town West, just off of I-4, in Orlando, FL, notable for being the largest White Castle in the world, is particularly popular among locals.
The restaurant has even posted updates to manage the crowd: "For the weeks ahead in Orlando, we will continue with a 60 slider limit. We will remain open until every customer in line by closing time has been served (both drive-thru and inside the Castle). So plan accordingly, Cravers!"
