Vero Beach officially opens Florida's first drive-thru-only Chick-fil-A - Indian River County

Vero Beach has officially welcomed Florida's first drive-thru-only Chick-fil-A, and it's serving up all the deliciousness you crave without making you leave your car. Opening its doors on Thursday, August 15, at 1481 U.S. Hwy 1, this new location promises to bring a wave of convenience and deliciousness to the local Indian River County community.

The site, which was once home to the historic Poinsettia Groves, is now bracing for excitement as residents begin to experience this efficient fast food dining concept.

A New Era of Convenience

This drive-thru-only Chick-fil-A is designed with speed and efficiency in mind. According to reports, this innovative setup is expected to create between 80 to 120 jobs for locals, offering a significant boost to the community's economy.

Michael Kelley, the local owner-operator, will manage both this new location and the existing Chick-fil-A in Vero Beach, TCPalm revealed.

A Community's Early Welcome

Erin Kane, one of the first customers to experience the drive-thru, shared her enthusiasm on Google Reviews: "Love the new location! Drive-thru was speedy and everyone is so friendly."

"I LOVE the mobile app line!! I was in and out in minutes," Michelle McElyea Davis shared on Facebook.

Jac Calzolano-Diaz was buzzing with excitment, stating: "I can’t wait to go to work in the mornings now."

The Perfect Location?

The choice of location at 1481 U.S. 1 is no accident. This spot, previously owned by Madava Properties US1 LLC, was sold for $1.05 million in October 2021, according to Indian River County records.

As state earlier, this new location marks the second Chick-fil-A in Indian River County, with the other situated just five miles away at 6020 Elon Lane. The expansion reflects Chick-fil-A's growth in the area and its ongoing mission to serve the community with delicious food and exceptional service.

Chick-fil-A is one of my favorite places to eat and I am always satisfied with the food and service.
