Florida Gators volleyball is ranked No. 11 in American Volleyball Coaches Association preseason poll

The Florida Gators volleyball team will begin the 2024 season ranked No. 11 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)/TARAFLEX Preseason Division I Top-25 poll.

This ranking continues an impressive streak for the Gators, marking their 33rd consecutive year in the Top-15 of the AVCA preseason poll.

Ranking Significance

The No. 11 ranking solidifies Florida as one of the nation's top volleyball programs. Only Nebraska and Stanford have longer streaks of Top-15 preseason rankings, with Nebraska's streak still active.

Florida is the third-highest ranked SEC team in the AVCA preseason poll behind No. 1 Texas and No. 10 Kentucky.

The Gators are poised for a competitive season, facing seven ranked opponents throughout their 2024 campaign. Four of these matchups will be against Top-15 teams:

Season Opener

Florida's 2024 season kicks off with a western road trip from August 30 to September 1. The schedule includes:

• Saturday: Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO
• Sunday: Michigan State
