Sprouts Farmers Market has officially planted its 47th Florida seed in Sarasota County. The grand opening festivities kicked off on Friday, September 6, and the party's still in full swing.

According to Sprouts' website, this new Sarasota location marks the 47th store in the Sunshine State, with Florida soon to boast a grand total of 48 Sprouts stores, which will equal the third most in the county with Arizona and behind only California (147) and Texas (53).

Located at the intersection of Hwy. 301 & Fruitville Rd., at 111 Links Ave., this new Sprouts is ready to become Sarasota's go-to spot for all things fresh and delicious.

    What’s Happening This Weekend?

    Saturday, September 7

    • 7 AM: Doors open! Be one of the first 100 customers to grab another FREE reusable bag filled with goodies.
    • 7 AM – 5 PM: Join the Pop-up Party outside the store where you can sample delicious bites, enter the “Guess the Weight” contest, and embark on a scavenger hunt that promises fun and excitement for all ages.

    Sunday, September 8

    • 7 AM: Early birds, rejoice! Doors open again for eager shoppers.
    • 9 AM – 4 PM: The Pop-up Party continues! More samples, more contests, and more scavenger hunts await.
    • 10 AM – 4 PM: Keep those taste buds happy as you explore even more new products in-store.*

If you missed Friday's ribbon-cutting extravaganza, fear not! Saturday, September 7, promises to be equally thrilling. Doors swing open at 7 am, and the early bird gets more than just the worm.

The first 100 shoppers will snag a free reusable bag brimming with samples. It's like Christmas morning but with less wrapping paper and more kale.

From 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, the parking lot will transform into a pop-up party zone. Expect samples galore, a "Guess the Weight" contest (finally, a use for those produce scales!), and a scavenger hunt. Who says grocery shopping can't be an adventure?

Inside, from 10 am to 4 pm, the store becomes an exciting playground. New product tastings await at every turn. It's like a farmer's market met a food festival and decided to set up shop permanently.

    Sunday Funday

In the meantime, the celebration continues on Sunday, September 8, to close out the grand opening weekend's activities. Doors, again, open at 7:00 am for the early risers (or those still riding the high from Saturday's festivities).

The pop-up party makes a comeback from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, giving latecomers a chance to flex their produce-weighing muscles and hunt for scavenger treasures.

In-store tastings run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, offering another opportunity to sample your way through the aisles. It's research, really. How else will you know which organic, non-GMO, gluten-free crackers pair best with that artisanal goat cheese?

    More Than Just a Store

Sprouts Farmers Market isn't your average grocery store. Since 1943, they've been on a mission to make high-quality, fresh foods accessible to all. It's like they're the Robin Hood of the produce world, minus the tights and archery.

This weekend promises fun, food, and festivities. Just remember, if you find yourself in a heated debate over the weight of a watermelon, you might have caught the Sprouts Farmers Market fever.

Don't worry, it's a delicious condition to have!
