    A recent inspection of the Popeyes Chicken restaurant in North Miami, Miami-Dade County, revealed seven violations, including two high-priority infractions, by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. While the restaurant was not ordered to close, follow-up inspections are required to address the issues.

    The popular Miami-Dade County fast food outlet, located at 20690 NW 2 Ave, was cited for two high-priority, one intermediate, and four basic violations on September 12. A follow-up inspection the next day found three remaining violations, requiring another review.

    High-priority violations involved temperature management issues. Cold foods like spicy chicken, wings, and shredded cheese were held above 41°F in the walk-in cooler. Hot-held items such as spicy chicken, rice and beans, and mashed potatoes were found below the required food safety degrees.

    The intermediate violation pertained to expired employee training certifications. Basic violations included soiled ceiling vents, standing water on floors, and dead roaches found on the premises.

    Popeyes Chicken, known for its Louisiana-inspired menu, holds a 4.0-star rating from 2,004 opinions on Google reviews.

    Anna Sandy, a local guide a customer, said in a Google reviews post: "The chicken is very good at this location."

    High Priority Violations:

    • Cold foods held at temperatures above 41°F
    • Hot foods held at temperatures below 135°F
