Construction worker dies in Miami Beach, Florida, says city officials

City officials have confirmed that a construction worker has died in a gloomy incident in Miami Beach. Footage of the Thursday morning incident at Ocean Terrace circulated online and in the media, compelling viewers and residents to brace for the worst.

According to NBC 6 News, the event took place at approximately 11:22 a.m. at the intersection of 74th Street and Ocean Terrace.

Details regarding the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the accident have not yet been disclosed.

Photos from the scene show a heavy police presence. A construction vehicle overturned, prompting authorities to tape off the area. Both law enforcement and fellow construction workers were present as the situation unfolded and looked unrest at the time.

Several media members were also ushered away to an area further from the scene and behind the yellow tape.

As a result of the accident, one northbound lane on Collins Avenue at 74th Street was temporarily closed to traffic. City officials are expected to provide more information as the investigation continues.
